“Undisturbed calmness of the mind is attained by cultivating friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward the wicked”.- Pantanjali
Hi, I’m Cheryl Albright, occupational therapist, yoga therapist, and founder of Soul To Soul Yoga and Special Sib. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults with diverse abilities, complex medical needs, and behavioral health challenges. Along the way, I’ve witnessed something important:
Siblings need support, too.
In my work, I’ve met countless siblings who quietly carry big emotions, big responsibilities, and big love for their brother or sister. Many are empathetic, resilient, and wise beyond their years — but they also deserve space that’s just for them. A place to laugh, connect, share their experiences, and know that they’re not alone.
That’s why I created Special Sib.
Through Sibshops, family education, and sibling-centered resources, Special Sib offers meaningful support to siblings of children with disabilities, complex medical needs, or mental health differences. My approach blends clinical experience with trauma-informed, sensory-aware, and playful strategies, making each group both supportive and fun.
In addition to leading Special Sib, I teach nationally and internationally on topics including trauma, sensory processing, limited language, and accessible yoga (Yoga for All Abilities® and Yoga for Scleroderma). I’m passionate about making wellness and emotional support accessible to all families — including the often-overlooked siblings who hold such an important role.
Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or sibling, I’m glad you’re here.
You’re part of a community that understands and cares deeply about the sibling experience.
