Everything Is Connected—and That’s Why I’m Writing More

People often ask what connects my work in occupational therapy, yoga therapy, chronic illness, disability, and sibling support.

The answer is simple: real life doesn’t live in silos.

Regulation doesn’t stop at the nervous system.
Identity doesn’t stop at diagnosis.
And sibling experiences don’t end in childhood.

Over time, I realized I needed a space to write about all of it—the clinical insights, the lived experience, the questions I don’t have tidy answers to. That’s where Substack comes in.

Why Substack?

Substack allows me to:

  • Write more honestly and more often
  • Connect ideas across OT, yoga therapy, disability, and sibling identity
  • Share reflections that don’t fit neatly into a blog category
  • Speak directly to adults navigating complex roles and responsibilities

Some weeks the writing leans clinical.
Some weeks it’s reflective.
Some weeks it’s about regulation, identity, or simply staying grounded in an overwhelming world.

All of it is connected.

How This Connects to Special Sib

Special Sib will always be a home for sibling-specific resources and community. Substack is where I zoom out—where sibling identity, professional roles, chronic stress, and meaning-making overlap.

If you’ve ever felt like:

  • You don’t fully fit into one label
  • You’re juggling caregiving, work, and selfhood
  • You’re trying to stay regulated while the world feels… a lot

Then the writing there is for you.
