I have news I’ve been waiting to share, and I’m so glad it’s finally time.
My book has been approved by the Editorial Board at Routledge, and I am officially under contract.
The title: Yoga-Informed Practice for Intellectual and Developmental Disability: A Guide for Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Professionals.
This book has been living in me for a long time โ built from more than two decades of work as an occupational therapist and yoga therapist, from everything I’ve learned alongside the families and individuals I’ve had the honor of serving, and from a deep belief that the body is always part of the story.
It’s written for OTs and allied health professionals, but if you’ve been around here for a while, you already know how much these worlds overlap. The sibling experience, the nervous system, the power of body-based practice โ it’s all connected.
I’d love for you to be among the first to know when it launches.
If you’re not already on my email list, this is a great time to join. You’ll get updates on the book and the resources, tools, and reflections I share regularly with this community โ the stuff I don’t always put on the blog.
More to come. Thank you for being here for all of it.
And if you’re not already following along on social media, come find us โ we’re @specialsib_ot and @soultosoulyogasrq on both Facebook and Instagram.
